New Client Information
Update: Unfortunately, I am not currently scheduling new clients.
Below is some additional information that you may find useful before you decide to schedule an appointment.
Scheduling an appointment:
If you would like to schedule an appointment, please contact me at:
-
(919) 283 - 6418
Due to my schedule, it is much easier for me to respond to emails than to answer phone calls. Please use email to reach out, if you can.
Forms:
If we decide to schedule an intake assessment, then I will provide you with information to securely access the paperwork (such as the consent form and notice of privacy practices) that you'll need to read before your appointment.
Fees:
-
Intake assessment (75 minutes): $294
-
Individual therapy session (45 minutes): $196
-
Group therapy session (90 minutes): $80
Insurance:
I am not in-network with any insurance companies, but many companies will reimburse part of your out-of-network health care expenses. This means that you'll have to pay the full fee at the time of your appointment and then submit an invoice to your insurance company later. You may want to contact your insurance company with the following questions so that you understand your benefits:
-
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
-
What is the rate (percentage) of reimbursement?
-
Do I have a deductible to meet first?
-
Is there a limit to the number of sessions?
I can provide monthly invoices with the information that you'll need to submit for out-of-network reimbursement.
Sliding Scale Slots:
In an effort to make treatment more accessible, I do maintain a preset amount of sliding scale appointment slots. When these slots are full, I do not add more. When a slot opens up, then I am able to offer it to someone who needs a reduced fee. Currently, my sliding scale spots are full.
Good Faith Estimate:
As part of the No Surprises Act (effective January 1, 2022), you have the right to receive a “good faith estimate” of how much your care will cost. Under the law, health care providers must offer clients who are uninsured or not using their insurance an estimate of the cost for services. For more information about this, visit www. cms.gov/nosurprises.
Telehealth:
Services can be provided by telehealth. Individual sessions can be conducted via Doxy.me or Zoom Healthcare, and both are HIPAA-compliant video-conferencing platforms. Group sessions and workshops are conducted via Zoom Healthcare. The telehealth information sheet will be included in your initial forms to sign, and you can preview it here.
In Person:
My office is located at 4011 University Drive in Durham (inside the Truist bank building). There is ample, free parking and elevator access in the building.
